German speaking Application Project Manager (banking)

On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a German Application Project Manager with banking experience. Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity with a market leading global company then please have a look at the details:

Role:

  • Our client has created a new application to integrate into the landscape to support the Client Advisory process and develop a Robo advisory. This role is to support the program manager in the coordination of the different development teams for this project and to support the project managers that are running these development teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the delivery of projects and coordinating activities across multiple business and technical stakeholders in line with business and program management priorities
  • Possibility to establish and maintain project governance, analyze project metrics and management of project performance and change requests
  • Responsibility to plan and optimize utilization of allocated project resources
  • Manage all project phases: Setup, Initialization, System Design, Realization and Deployment of Software Life Cycle Models
  • Exposure to senior management and challenging role in coordinating global teams and various stakeholders
  • Support and gather program input from globally dispersed project delivery teams
  • Tracking of project effort, milestone tracking, tracking of risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Support other project managers in status submissions and project reviews
  • Support other project managers in administrative tasks

Skills:

  • Over 7 years of experience in IT project management in software development projects.
  • Experience with managing budget, scope, quality & risks with globally distributed teams.
  • Experience and good understanding of Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
  • Experience with large global IT projects spanning over several functional areas and systems
  • Banking industry experience, ideally Private Banking
  • Experience with managing software design and development and testing projects
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of management.
  • Good listening and influencing skills, proactive communicator with ability to convey complex thoughts and ideas in simple terms to various audiences
  • Track record in project leadership and leading teams with various backgrounds
  • Flexibility and capacity to adapt in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work with limited level of direction and supervision
  • Fluent written and spoken in English and German
