Interim Purchasing and Logistics Manager

For this temporary assignment based in Zürich, we are in search of an English-speaking candidate who is available in a short notice. Overview of the project:

  • Implement effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy and regional/global continuous improvement process sourcing strategy to ensure that factory supplier base has the ability to meet current and future business requirements
  • Ensure all internal stakeholders understand strategies and execute processes accordingly
  • In cooperation with group SCM guidelines and local division/business unit objectives, continuously revises the product cost structure, finds improvement initiatives and implements programs to drive improvement in cost, quality and delivery (on-time and on-quantity)
  • Able to manage planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts
  • Monitor and measure the performance of supply chain management processes and activities, in conformance to our client's supply chain management metrics.
  • Define local standard agreements with all major local suppliers, provide and maintain standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines
  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed

The skills and experience needed for this position are:

  • Willing to manage the team on an interim basis until succession is arranged
  • Familiar with similar processes as the team will have little time for introduction
  • Senior leader, available within next 2-4 weeks
