Our client is a leading company in the food industry. In order to support its growth in Europe we're today actively looking for a I+D Manager - Quality Strategic Manager to be based in Switzerland in the Zürich region. The chosen candidate will be in charge of developing and managing the innovation and product development plan with a business focus in maximizing sales and on margin contributions of each product.

* To direct and establish methods and activities of continuous Control and Evaluation, which result in the maximum Satisfaction of the Client / Consumer and in the total reduction of the dissatisfaction of the same.


* Generation of value in the company through the Development and Implementation of products, which generate sales to the Company and seek the greatest satisfaction of the Consumer.


* Ensure compliance with the Innovation Plan.

Comply with the Quality Plan established for the Business, ensuring the food quality of the product.


* Ensure the correct implementation of the Prerequisites and HACCP in all processes of the Plant.


* Preparation and monitoring of Plant Certifications: IFS, AFHORLA, ISO14001, as well as everything related to Document Management.


* Validation of industrial tests for launching new products, following up on plant, organoleptic and microbiological.


* Verification and monitoring of the plant's Environmental Plan.


* Ensure compliance with the HOLD standards through the established audits and monitoring of indicators.


* Ensure the Sustainable Consumption of Resources: Water and Electricity.


* Ensure proper segregation of the waste generated in its daily activity.


Responsibilities:


* Definition of the Quality Objectives of the Business Unit, presenting them to the Director of the Business Unit for approval in the Management Committee.


* Implement process evaluation systems and the established Quality Plan.


* Definition of the strategic lines in matters of Quality of the business unit


* Reference figure and maximum representative for the certifications of the Business Unit, in IFS (International Food Standard).


* Monitoring of the Strategic Quality Objectives and proposal of corrective actions in case of deviations.


* Define and develop the IV Range Environmental Management System, establishing key indicators and operational procedures for environmental control


* Develop the Monthly Reports of Quality / Food Safety.


* People and Resources Management, ensuring the training and professional development of its team of collaborators


* Ensure compliance with the budget of each department.


* Coordinate and manage with the other departments involved (Marketing and Commercial) the Development of New Products, from the concept to its launch for sale.


* Development and monitoring together with other departments involved (Marketing and Commercial) of the Innovation Plan and the Launch Plan.


* Generate new value and business proposals through the creation of new products, new sales channels, new categories, etc.


* Adaptation and Improvement of the product already existing in the Market, either by customer demand or by legislative requirements, in order to satisfy the changing needs of the Consumer.


* Management and Planning of Projects in R & D that are part of Innovation Plans in the medium term, as well as search and preparation of applications for Grants for financing R & D Projects and justification for them.


* Establish action plans for those products that do not meet the expectations of sale in the market.


* Direct and manage those projects that arise due to a need outside the Innovation Plan.


* Examine the market and competition to obtain a global view of consumer demands.


* Supervise the monitoring of the implementation of New Products with the rest of the Departments involved in the company (Procurement, Production, Quality, Continuous Improvement).

Academic Background:


University Degree related to Food.


Complementary Training in Quality Management, Food Safety and Environmental Management.


The above can be supplemented with experience and / or adequate training for internal promotion.
