Service Transition Lead - Basel - 100%

For our international client based in Basel, Experis is currently looking for a Service Transition Lead for a contracting position until, at least, end of August 2018.

Background: One business department in the customer's small molecules technical development department, responsible to develop drug manufacturing and analysis methods, wants to transition IT services currently provided by the business to the global informatics department. The project's objective is to transition these business provided services to the global informatics department.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • The engagement scope is to identify services to transition and create the transition plan.
  • Work together with the internal business resources to establish a detailed inventory of services, applications, environments, hardware, and documents that will define the transition scope
  • Work together with internal business and IT resources to establish the detailed transition plan, including timelines, resource needs, risk mitigation, and fallback strategies
  • Hand-over the transition plan to the internal project team for execution.

You bring for this role the following qualifications:

Must Haves:

  • A track record in managing service transitions between organizational units (senior level experience)
  • +8 years of experience in managing complex stakeholder environments and organizational complexity
  • Be very familiar with IT service management according to ITIL
  • Experience with service management and transition in CSV and GxP environments (must be visible in the last projects)
  • Have excellent analysis and documentation skills
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be fluent in German and English (both mandatory)
  • Be able to work independently

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in a GMP manufacturing and technical development environment
  • An understanding of the systems/application landscape required in such an environment
  • Have worked with Global IT
